Nina is a preventive medicine physician and Senior Clinical Specialist at Google with 10+ years advancing health literacy. Nina designs and evaluates digital tools that improve care at scale and empower families through accessible health education.

When her nephew was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma, she became the go-to source for medical clarity, highlighting the need for better family education. This inspired her to co-found Hello Brave, ensuring kids and families have the tools to navigate medical challenges with confidence.

Director of Development

When Reina’s 8-year-old son was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma, she became his full-time caregiver, navigating the emotional and medical challenges of childhood cancer. Now, with her son in remission, she is dedicated to ensuring families have the resources she once searched for. In addition to her lived experience, Reina brings a background in small business ownership, nonprofit work, and event coordination. As a co-founder of Hello Brave, she is passionate about empowering kids and caregivers with the knowledge and support they need during medical challenges.

Brooke Healy, M.eD

Director of Programs

Brooke is an educator with a passion for making learning accessible and engaging. When her own child faced a health crisis, she saw firsthand how vital education is in easing fear and uncertainty. Now, she brings her expertise in curriculum development to Hello Brave, ensuring that children, families, and schools have the tools to approach medical experiences with confidence and understanding

Anna Mischke

Director of Communications, Illustrator

Anna is an illustrator and communications specialist who uses art to bring light to difficult experiences. Inspired by nature, dreams, and the small wonders of life, she creates whimsical, heartfelt illustrations that help children feel seen and comforted. Through Hello Brave, she hopes to make the medical world a little less scary by turning complex concepts into engaging, visually supportive stories.
